Today sucked....

My wife and I haven't had a date night in a while since we have very little cash since I got laid off in august. It was suppose it be special. Well right out of the gate I get pulled over for expired tabs. I didn't even realize they were due. Then I almost get in an accident when I went straight on a right turn only. Finally we get to dinner, starving and our niece calls to tell us our 20 month Old found my rotary knife I forgot to lock up and sliced his finger open. Took him to urgent care to be treated, two weeks before my kids qualify for insurance. Ugh!!!

Sorry to vent just needed to get that off my chest that the special dinner date was ruined and who knows when we will get another. To top it off he is sleeping between my wife and I so yea no cuddles.

Wow! That's some night. So sorry to hear the evening went so wrong for you. Hopefully you guys can take a deep breath and let it go to enjoy the weekend. Squeeze those cuddles in somewhere!

So sorry to hear that the gremlins snuck into things. Really glad your kiddo is ok and might I suggest watching out for a couple living social offers that might make another date night possible a little sooner?

trust me, married 19 years, those are the things that keeps your marriage intact.My "date night" the other day, was....my husband bringing me to my colonoscopy/endoscopy procedure...first time we had time to do something,that was romantic :wink:

Sorry to hear that. What a disappointing night. Can you reschedule with your niece to babysit?

My husband got a fine for driving our car unregistered - 6 days expired!.. an oversight of mine (i pay the bills) as I had been sooooo sick with whooping cough (sucks) and then pneumonia. I spoke to the police and they advised me to write a letter to the Officer in Charge of the Traffic Branch. Now I appreciate we are in different countries but it is worth a go as our infringement was waived. I just explained a few things in the letter. Also mentioned that either of our vehicles have never been unregistered before etc etc First things though is not to pay the fine as they cannot reimburse you after that. You have a certain amount of time to either pay or contest it dont you?

I know what you mean about 'special' cuddles... i have a 3yr old and 15mth old... gotta grab those cuddles when you can :wink:

My husband and I used to say that no good date goes unpunished. Typically, we'd be in ear infection or stomach virus land within hours of a rare night out. This too shall pass!
