Anyone know how to cover up this rosehip hydrsol. Or even if I should. Because I made it intending to use it as a face lotion. I not sure which EOs are gentle enough to use on one's face. I bought it over the internet from lotion crafters assuming because it had rose in the name it would smell good. I have already put together the lotion which came out lovely. I used apricot oil, argon, and rosehip oil
( which doesn't smell funny) but was wondering if anyone has dealt with the rosehip hydrsol smell.

I haven’t used this particular hydrosol but I’ve had some luck covering strong extract smells by adding a tiny amount of peppermint essential oil. Just a few drops to a batch of face lotion is usually enough, just don’t add too much or you’ll end up crying every time you use it!! Or if you have a favorite essential oil, start with a few drops and experiment!!

Yes, peppermint is a good suggestion. It has a great smell and feels refreshing in soap when I have used it that way. Good idea.

Dixie it smells like roses with their leaves crushed, a mellow after scent. The toner had Clary sage with the rose geranium and smelled fantastic. Yes, I agree Patchouli is redeeming.
