Here are the results of my 2nd attempt at "tiger stripes." Sorry, I'm no photographer...the light was horrible, and ripples make it impossible to photograph well...at least for me. It's a goat's milk soap scented with pear, almond and honey. I hope you can get the idea....not tiger stripes, but a very nice soap.

Very nice looking soap, and I really like the way you have it displayed :) Something I am going to have to work on for my pictures...

Dayrl,

These are lovely. I loved your previous Tiger Stripes, but these seem fitting for the fragrances you used. Also, with Spring and Summer coming, these are perfect.
May I ask which Pear F.O. you used and is it holding up to the Almond and Honey?
Beautiful soap.

Thank you! It was "Sweet Juicy Pear" by Crafters Choice. The Honey/Almond is also by CC, and both came from WholesaleSuppliespPus.com.

The pear is holding up great. It still smells a bit "medicinal" but there is residual ammonia because of the goats milk. I anticipate it will continue to mellow as it cures.

The 2nd secret I learned to making tiger/zebra stripes (1st was to be at a good light to medium trace) is to draw irregular "s" shaped lines as you pour instead of the more-or-less straight ones I made.

Those look great. I think they are perfect tiger stripes actually. Tiger swirls don't have to look like an actual tiger, it's just the idea that counts. Awesome. :)

Thanks. MAN! (That's an expression. I don't think you're a dude?) I worked and worked to get more yellow into the green, but it just wouldn't turn.

Nope, not a dude. Next time if your yellow won't turn the green warmer try a tiny shot of orange, if it helps, add yellow to counter the red, then add more green to balance back if necassary. Coloring stuff is kind of a science and math, it all works the same every time.

Thanks. Thats a great idea. I think there's more blue in my "green" than I realize.
