Those look fantastic. I bet they smell amazing too.

I new it would be pretty! lol

Now how come yours are always so shiny? Do you rub oil on them :) Tell tell:)

thanks you two,
LOL Dixie , I didn't rub oil on them . I do polish some of them after they have cured well. I use pantyhose and a soft cloth . Depends what they look like after 3 or 4 weeks and I if have nothing better to do. They do smell good, I like sensual amber .

gorgeous color...i'll have to try that pantihose tip of yours....like the photo w/ the sewing maching too......very home crafty !

Hey Deborah , the pantyhose works well , if you do want a little bit of a sheen . I polish with the pantyhose and sometimes wipe with a damp and then buff with a dry cloth. You can put canola oil on a soft cloth and polish the soap with it , it makes it look good , would be good for a show /craft fair etc, it doesn't last forever.

My 8 yr old GD is learning to sew on it , she loves it .she got a toy one for Xmas that is way to frustrating to use. She is helping me make some curtains. Lots of fun.

Oh Kitn, you've done it again - what gorgeous hunky chunks of soap!

I love how you use colour in such a subtle but eye catching way .. What kind of colouring do you use?

I used cappacino mica gold and copper mica and some earth colored ultramarines .

WOW! Such talent, am very impressed. OHHH I can't wait to get all the supplies and try this but in a beginners version.

Seriously though that is a awesome soap

The only time I tried to add mica to CP, it turned the soap gray! I added it to the oils- lovely, swirly antique blue.
The minute I added the lye- opaque smoke color. It cured to a nice color, but not a hint of mica- no sparkles or anything.

Yours looks really nice!

Thanks everyone :D

Bombus , I think the key is to take out some traced soap , I used 1/3 of a cup and added the mica to that , SB the heck out of it and poured it in a S shaped line down the mold and swirled it with a wooden coffee stir stick. It isn't as glittery as I would like :( but maybe it will get brighter with age.

Oooh, sensual amber...sounds so romantic! I was going to say this is something my dad would like, but I'll switch that to my hubby instead!
