Hey Ya'll,

I have heard of large cracks in a loaf from soap getting to hot but I wasn't sure if that was the case with mine or not. I let all my soap sit in the same area and this is the first time I have gotten these thin cracks. They are just on the top of my loaf where I built up a little hump in the middle. I attached pictures of the loaf and the recipe. Disregard the soda ash, that's a problem that i'm having with all my soap right know that I'm trying to figure out how to avoid as well.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Or if it's possible to clean it up and save the loaf?

Thanks in advance!!

Your soap may have overheated a little. You can try spraying with rubbing alcohol and smoothing the top with a palette knife of your finger.
