Hello! I'm a newbie from North Carolina. Recently I began obsessing over homemade soap. I sew my own clothing, make jewelry and grow a large, organic vegetable garden. I also knit and crochet. I insist on making every meal from absolute scratch using all forms of local produce I can get my hands on. I guess it was only a matter of time before I became overcome by the soap making bug. I bought the Soapmakers Companion and another soap book. Then I googled every website I could find on the subject. Now I have to talk about it compulsively.
