Because our 2019 market season starts on May 5, I decided to do a margarita inspired soap. It did not go as planned. Poured the base and started the drop swirl, then realized I'd forgotten to add the fragrance so I mixed it into my colours. It accelerated and the last of the colours were plopped in. Even though I tried to swirl the top bits, I couldn't. We'll see how it looks when it's cut. It's scented with a combination of Lime FO and Caribbean Escape and drizzled with gold mica in glycerin.

Color combo looks nice! I'm sure it'll look great, I haven't seen you post any that aren't. Can't wait to see cut pics :)

Thank you for that. I'm a little impatient; I want to see the cut pics, too. It's still too warm, though. :(
For me....Impatience is not a good quality to have for a soaper! I am hoping to learn/have patience. It’s my struggle in soaping (and life..HA!)

I'm usually fairly patient... but not always when it comes to soaping. (although my husband might disagree with the me being patient part)
The only reason I'm impatient with this particular batch is because I really want to see how a batch that accelerated so fast actually turned out.

@Misschief Can I ask where you found lime FO? I've been getting my from New Directions (when my sister orders her orders), Windypoint use to carry it but stopped. I'm always on the look out for a good one.

This is why I soap at night. I put my soap in the freezer for 2 hours and by the time it comes out it's bedtime. I put the loaf on my rack to finish cooling overnight so I can cut it the next day. Otherwise I would be sitting on a stool watching it cool for hours lol

I like mixing the EO with FO, also margarita FO and lime FO. I just can't get enough lime, it's my fav.

I made some body butter with NDA Margarita FO for my son....he liked it at first but says "It smells like skunk after you wash your hands" Whatever. I'll use it. It's not a pure lime fragrance, and does have a sharp smell that I'm going to assume is the tequila. My only lime EO is from Vitacost (in the US) and I don't like it at all....smells like more of a floor cleaner than a lime to me (though is passable when mixed with patchouli or cedar).

I was able to cut it before going to bed last night. It turned out better than I thought it would, just nothing like I'd hoped it would.

That IS cool. I have to admit I was a little worried for you when I saw the top of the loaf, but I think it looks really neat when cut! Perhaps a disclaimer that the soapmaker got into the Margaritas during business hours? ;-)

I like how the lumpy part of the top is aligned with the swirl. It makes it look organic and intentional! Well done!!

My fav margarita fo has come from Windypoint. Not as much of a fan of NDA’s.
