Hi everyone - as most of you know I live on Canada's west coast - what most of you probably didn't know is that to get to where I live it takes either 2 ferries or a plane trip - there are no roads in....so I thought I would share a picture of my ride home on Saturday night....

I also wanted to share a picture of my neighbour's Daffodil patch.....

Thanks everyone - yes spring is in full swing here - most of the trees have budded out, the grass stays green here and continues to grow during the winter.

Mary there are about 16,000 people here in our area - it is a community with a lot of community spirit. I lived in Calgary for years which is supposed to have some of the best medical people available - that may be so - but here I ended up in the hospital on Sunday night because of a 5 day long migraine. The doctor chose to do a little more investigating rather than just give me a needle inthe butt and found that the two muscles that run on either side of the spine were hard and tensed. So he gave me a shot on either side of my neck at the base of the skull which after I quit thinking I was just simply going to have to get sick - worked. Now they had 2 cardiac patients in there at the same time....THEN the next day he phoned me to see how I was doing....

Yes I love living here.

And oh yes I LOVE the ferries - the 2 that leave from our dock here in Powell River pass in front of my house every day, several times a day...

Okay so I'm just a little high on where I am lucky enough to live and I tend to ramble - ------ sorry......

I LOVE it!!! (sorry to hear about your migraine, though :cry: )

My DH and I went on a cruise to Alaska two years ago, and we love that entire area! Your place is awesome! I am so itching to be near the water AND the mountains! What is the winter climate in your area?

Absolutely fantastic! Although we did get know in December that stayed around for about a week - we seldon have snow that stays for more than a day or two and then it is usually just a skiff.

I truly love it!!! And thank you everyone for your comments - sometimes it's nice to share something else that I really love!
