As a daughter, grand daughter, niece, wife of a Med. discharged Marine, and friend to many service members........THANK YOU to all those past, present and future. And lets not forget the backbone to it all. A big THANK YOU to all the millitary spouses and their families.

I SECOND THAT! Thank you!!! Thank you for giving me the freedome to make soap at 3 in the morning if I choose, to wear purple tennis shoes and red pants and pink polka dots if I choose, thank you for giving me the freedom to pray as I need and to whom I need. Thank you for soooooooo many wonderful freedoms in my life for which you, the members of the US Military - past, present and future - have made incredible sacrafices.

We all have our stories. I too am a daughter (WWII, Normandy), and a GF (Active Duty Marine, 32 years), aunt and friend to many and I'm deeply grateful.

I took dad out to breakfast this morning and thanked him again for his service. It gets him talking about the way things were (WW2) and he seems to feel a little better after talking. He's a real nervous character most of the time. There was a young painter sitting across from us and he started exchanging stories of his grandfather and father with my father. It was nice to see them talking. Unless you have lived through service and/or war, you can never know what goes through the minds of the soldier.

I am thankful every day that my father made it back from the war so that he and my mother could marry and give me the life I have.

To all the vets and active duty soldiers, THANK YOU!
