Hey guys,

another question for ya.

Just did another batch of soap, and the top is all ridgey and bubbled like there were air bubbles coming out. Is there any way to get rid of this?

Also - we have been using wax paper to line our molds with, and this last few batches the paper just ripped and we couldn't get the soap out without using a knife and a spatula. What do you guys line your molds with???

Thanks!

Jackie

Did you use a stick blender to stir? You might have mixed in air with the SB. I usually make sure the SB is angled with blending, to allow air to escape.

For my molds, I use those foam crafting sheets from a craft store. They work GREAT!

I use freezer paper. Slip the loaf w/ paper out and peel the paper away.

Sometimes I tap the mold after filling on the counter to get any air bubbles out and to level a thicker batter. Like you do with cake batter. But be careful, I have slammed it too hard and splashed some raw soap on my cheek.
