I was curious if all you veteran soap makers and sellers had liability insurance in place when you sent soap out for testing to assorted people? I have my shelves full of soaps and other than immediate family member testers, I have not handed any of my soaps out to other people bc I do not have my insurance secured yet. I have given soap out to people as gifts but so far nothing requiring any real feedback or input.
Basically, my Husband and I are thinking of not buying insurance until we are ready to release our soaps to the public but what do you all do about testers? Did you all make sure you had insurance in place before asking any outsiders to test your soaps? did you send tester soaps out without insurance? that would make be a bit nervous.
We may just need to buy insurance now long before we hit the market but for right now I am in the thinking stage on this!
Thanks for your thoughts!
