I finally made this soap today! I will post pictures tomorrow when I cut it! MY STICK BLENDER DIED IN THE PROCESS! Sorry for yelling. I was so mad! Just got it at Christmas and only used it for 12 batches!

Anyway, I tried hand mixing. That wasn't fun, so I left the house to get a new one. When I got home it had thickened up and I had to scrape it out of my bucket! It was thick enough that I was able to make a swirly top for the first time!

I had that happen not too long ago. Fortunately I was very near trace when it died, as there is no place within 30 miles that sells them. That was a Saturday evening so before church the next morning, Hubby took me to Walmart to get a new one. I HATED the new one! So noisy! But this weekend we checked out a new warehouse-type store and Hubby found this for me! It is wonderful! Much quieter- and though I probably will never use all the attachments, I might!

I used this recipe, but only did a 1/3 recipe because I don't need 12 bars of face soap...lol http://teachsoap.com/gentle-acne-soap/ The only changes I made were using Tea Tree oil EO in place of Niaouli and Lavender EO for the Lavandin because I used what I had, and they have very similar qualities. It does smell very medicinal, but I'm okay with that for a complexion bar!

I used an ice cream container for my mold on this one ;) The heart shaped soaps (made 2 weeks ago) are Genny's shampoo bar recipe with my twist of using beer/banana puree and ground cloves (for brunettes!)

Great looking soap!

I'm glad you were able to get a new SB. I haven't had one die but I had one fall apart like siobhan1011. It was quite startling.

Very nice! I absolutely ADORE the smell of tea tree. I haven't tried it with lavender yet (usually I use it with peppermint). I may have to do that soon!

The soap looks wonderful! I enjoy the mix of lavender and tea tree oils.
