Tan Color in MP Soap

Hello everyone I am new to the soapmaking process, I wanted to start with MP, then move to CP, then HP. Eventually want to learn all methods. But anyway I need help I bought one of those doughnut making kits from Michaels but I am having the hardest time making that tan doughnut looking color. My color looks horrible. Can anyone tell me how to achieve that? I would really appreciate it.
