I noticed some of these have higher cleaning properties but I'm interested in a smooth soft stable lather that is conditioning.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good or unique uses for each one? Do they have any specific characteristics that lend themselves to an exceptional quality product?

It seems that bear tallow has the highest conditioning factor and might work nicely in shaving soap, next would be Lard then deer. But then I look at the creamy part and here lard is much higher than the bear tallow.

Anyway, I'm curious if any of you have found any exceptional uses for these?

Well lard and beef tallow are used all the time in soap making, and are highly regarded as well as relatively easy to obtain. I've never used goat or sheep but I'm sure they would work well, however unless you know a butcher they would be harder to find. The bear and deer, if you hunt would be great but again much harder to get on a consistent basis. I'm sure someone here has tried them but I don't know of anyone who uses them regularly.

I love animal fats in soap but can only find lard and tallow inexpensively/consistently, and love how they work so I am good with that. I would like to check out other ones, but it has been too tricky to get them so far.

One of my all time favorite bar is made with deer fat, super creamy and gentle. I will make this again for a facial bar but I don't have any deer tallow left. I did try a 100% deer bar, it was very brittle and slightly slimy but not like castile, lather was ok but definitely better with other oils.

I also made a 100% bear tallow bar, it was really old smelly tallow so I never actually used the bar but it was super hard & nice lathering. I still have those soaps in the basement, haven't checked them in months though. I would love to get some bear fat to properly use in place of lard. I think it would be great in shaving soap and as a high percentage in a bath bar.
