Hi all,

Here is my first successful swirl - I give credit for my inspiration to Soapmakerman - his beautiful TDay swirl soap is gorgeous and I really wanted to see those colours pop for me too!

I used an upright 1 litre milk carton and poured both colours at the same time slowly, then after a minute or two I used the handle of a wooden spoon to swirl around a little. The fragrance is BBs Clean Cotton - yum

So happy with my result :D

Thanks for the nice comments people!

Heartsong, I used ultramarine pink for the pink and a blend of ultramarine pink and blue for the purple. I think I used a LOT....I haven't coloured this brightly before and will have to wait to see if my lather ends up colourful as well!!!

Chrissy, I order my Brambleberry FOs from Aussie Soap Supplies. I love using their FOs as they give great information on how they perform in soap (discolouration, acceleration, etc). Here is a link:- http://aussiesoapsupplies.com.au/

I got the ultramarines from a Tassie supplier, http://www.oilsandsoap.com.au/ , as I wanted to try their essential oils and needed colours as well; however you can get them from many other suppliers. One good one for price is Max at Escentials in Qld:- https://www.escentialsofaustralia.com/

Wow! So pretty - that butterfly is amazing. I can NEVER get intricate molds to unmold with all the soap intact. I love the stamp!

I didn't take pics of the ones that stuck

I used a flexible daisy aloha mould for a couple of the soaps and they left a layer behind, so lesson learned there

The butterfly mould is a premium hard pvc mould and the soap comes out beautifully - I do place in freezer before unmoulding though.

Love the colors & the swirls are superb!!!

Thank you mandolyn - I was pretty proud of myself I admit once I cut into my soap and saw such pretty swirls. Here's hoping I can replicate it! :D

I have no doubts you can do it again. Hooked on swirls yet?
