So because I'm a doorknob...
How does this swap thing work? Everyone sends in items with a retail value of 5-8 bucks, and then what? The person organizing the swap, send a differen't item to you that someone else sentcha?

Can USA people do Aussie and Canadian (and Zimbabwe) swaps too?
How often do you guys do these?

so if there are 15 people in a swap, they all send 14 items to the swap host, who then packages it up and sends you 14 items made by the swappers.

I have never done one until this one upcoming!

Yes, LJA, you can participate in any swap held on SMF anywhere.....remember only that shipping can get very expensive o/seas

I have the honour of currently hosting the first 2009 Aussie Swap and we have 9 swappers, so each swapper sent me a parcel with 8 items/packs included to be distributed to the other swappers - everyone gets a return parcel with 8 different items/packs to try. It's a lot of fun! You have to pay for the shipping of your items to the host and also for the return parcel.

Tanya :)

As for how often, we will allow the open swap to cloae & for boxes to be delivered & then in a couple weeks we begin the next.

I want to do a UK swap. I was going to do the upcoming one but shipping would be too expensive for me.
