I'm not trying to give an opportunity to advertise. I'm just new to soap making (I made my first 2 batches last night...and I'm hooked) and I wanted to get some suggestions for a good supplier. I ordered my first oils off of Amazon and paid too much! Thanks

I buy most of my oils from soaperschoice.com (Columbus Foods). There are other suppliers so you could read through the Shopping Recommendations section to see what companies other people recommend.

Welcome to the forum! :D

It all depends on where you live. I am in the States and use soaper's choice for some of my oils. Others I get at Gordon Foods locally. Shea I buy in bulk off the internet just scouting for best deals.

I bought coconut in 1 gallon containers for the first year of my soaping - then moved to bulk.

I live in Chicago and get my oils and shea from soapers choice, the rest I get from all over the place....

I get my Olive from Sam's club, most of the rest I get from soapers choice. When I want smaller amounts, I buy some from camden grey, Brambleberry

I buy shea butter, palm oil, beeswax, safflower oil from soapers choice. I get olive oil from Sams club. Coconut oil I get at Walmart. same with canola, or soy bean oil.

I buy colors from TKB trading, f/o's from either bitter creek or cierra candles.

I try to buy as much as I can locally, to avoid shipping charges. I live in a rural area of Georgia, so unless it's available at publix, walmart or sams, I must buy online :(

It would help to know where you live....

I buy from all over. I am in Canada and I like to buy the heavier (ie oils and lye) from local places, but I have ordered from all over the States for FO's, EO's, packaging etc.

That's an informative site. Thanks for posting the link.

I went and checked the Ohio section and I thought it was interesting that neither Just Scent and WSP were listed.

For oils it is soapers choice and GFS for most. For everything I order I must use 6 or more suppliers. I look for good quality at a good price.
