Superfatting...

I'm sorry, I think I have had to ask this before but can someone explain superfatting to me in detail. I know it's adding more oil to your soap than what the lye can react with in turn making it more gentle...BUT....if I use SoapCalc.com's calculator am I already superfatting by putting that 5% in the upper right hand corner of the calculations under the Recipe name or should I be adding more oils at trace? I'm so confused And now all of you are too I bet

Yes- you are already superfatting by putting 5% in that box. You don't need to add any extra oils at trace.
