Too bad you lost those pretty swirls. I had this happen recently too.

Nice save though. Bet they smell good.
 
you still got awesome soap, even with the overheat! i love the brown on brown swirls

it's funny because when I cut the loaf, there was a huge hole right through the whole thing and a ton of oil came gushing out. But the swirls... you couldn't even see them through the loaf, the entire thing became a pitted, orange, stinky blob. I just crumbled it into my crock with my (gloved) hands.
 
Wow, you not only managed to save the batch...but it looks great, so chocolate-y good. :)
 
Smells very like a cappuccino smell mixed with creamy caramel... I don't smell a nutty smell exactly, more like an espresso smell (which is a tad nutty in its way but also a little burnt). I would call it Caramel Cappuccino :D
I got a little too much of it in my nose but I'm sure once it cures I will love the smell.
