As it's summer holidays here, I finally have time to try things out. Not everything works out of course, but I'm having fun.

So here I share my trials in the hope that there will be some Ooohs and Aaaahs and a good laugh of course at what went wrong ;)

Someone asked me for a kitchen and a flower soap , should be ready tomorrow, so HP it was:

rose/lavender - she likes classics and not tooo sweeeet :D

And the kitchen-coffee clean hands - no scent just 2 teasp freshly ground coffee

close up: wondered if I had added enough ground coffee for a scrub.

Then my experiments:

Funnel swirl - without a real swirl CP/MP Satsuma/peppermint

Fresh Tea Cocktail. I made these for a swap, but used a throw-away glass for a mould.

In the swap I added some bath goodies: mini cupcakes, sugar scrubs and saltbars

The next - lavender/patchouli/rose/vanilla went wrong all the way. I had ordere labcolors from BB and wanted to use the periwinkle colour - a bluish purple. it turned out that BB miscoloured a whole batch and it came out green :( Being angry I threw in a bit of pink La Bomb - assuming it would fade, but it did not
(have to say that BB treated me well, when filing this complaint - they are professionals and they care for their customers)

in close up it looks better, not showing the pink part :D

I made an alkanet infusion, to use in my next project; anxious to find out the result colour in the soap

Thanks for looking again!

Wow, beautiful bunch of soaps, Eucalypta!! The round one is so cool! I love the swirl and the look of it. Also, in my experience with coffee grounds, less is more. I think you'll find it's okay for you. Also - do you think your batch went green because your base oils were yellow?
You've been very busy! :)

Thank you LJA :D

No I am sure it was not the batch- chose those oils to assure me a white base (Palm, Coconut, Olive Pomace) BB admitted it was their fault; they even did a sample test - which turned out I was right. They had too withdraw that batch of dye.

I love the orange/Whiote one too - so sunny and fresh.
Real fun to experiment with MP and CP. I kind of knew beforehand that a real funnel swirl is hardly possible with MP, because it is so thin when you pour. But the result is nice surprise ;)

Your soap are always so creative and unique. I love that!

The rose and lavender colors are so pretty and I bet the smell is calming too.

I agree with LJA on the coffee soap. Less coffee is better. I have my coffee soap at the kitchen sink and it almost hurts to use it and it didn't even look like I put too much in. I love the dark chocolate color.

The fresh tea cocktail is my favorite. I like the transparent/glass effect and love the colors.

I could eat the cupcakes too!

Lots of great stuff!

Your soaps are always so creative & interesting Eucalypta. The rose/lav makes me want to try hp :) And the white/apricot?..just like apricot nougat!
That alkanet infusion looks so lovely & dark.I'm not having much luck with my infusions-can't get a good depth of colour....Yours looks like fresh berry juice! :D

Beautiful soap!

I'm going to have to try the mp and cp mix one day I think it makes such pretty soap.

Gorgeous!! Love the swirl w the clear soap - so unusual! And the rock one too...the coffee is fabulous. Just 2 teaspoons of coffee grounds???

Thank you so much for your compliments!

It is so much fun to experiment!
Iknew that the funnel swirl would come out quite weird, because MP is like water when you pour it. Let's say it is incorporated nicely with the white

As far as the coffee soap is concerned: I used about two teaspoons of freshly ground coffee, added to the raw soap befor putting it on the stove
(because I spli the original batch in two: one for the rose/lavender and the ohter half for the coffee). So it happily cooked till the soap was ready.
I did not enjoy the smell during the cook though
Fortunately now it is gone, just a bit of a coffee scent.

It gives a mild scrub and takes away the fish or garlick smell from your hands.

Well eucalypta, my jaw dropped, those are wonderful and creative soaps, and like a few others the orange white swirl is my fave, keep it up and remember to post the next batch you do! :D
