ok, i did a show last fall at a asst living, that Ive been asked to come back to, the ladies were looking for lilac, lavender etc, what are some other older lady scents that they might like? I dont typically like these kind of smells, but want to have what they like.

You might try palmarosa. I blended it with lavender and it seemed sort of ole ladyish to me. (but still some people like it) :?

My SIL's Mom loves gardenia (which I didn't have), but I did have Rosehip Jasmine, she liked that one, too. It didn't give me any trouble soaping it, either.

I have a Chanel No. 5 dupe that my hubby says I can't soap for me...too old lady. He said I should soap it and give it to some of the older ladies in our family. I didn't think it smelled all that old fashioned, but he really did.

You might also try something with rose or a rose blend.

The FOs that BayouGirl and NancyRogers mentioned definitely smell more "mature" - I hate to label them "Old Lady-ish"

I have soaped Bramble Berry's Jasmine Rosehip and Gardenia, and Peak's Chanel No. 5 dupe. All three have very good staying power so far and if the reactions I have gotten upon gifting the soap to some classy old dames are any indication, they would be appreciated by many.

Another scent you migth try is Lily of the Valley. Bramble Berry has a FO called "Sleeping Angels" - which is a blend of Rose, Lily of the Valley and white musk. It soaps a beautiful creamy white and makes me think of either sleeping babies or a sweet old Granny...
