Suggestions for a base for leave in hair product

I have been using Redken Extreme length sealer on my hair, but my stylist doesn't carry it any more. I was going to order some on Amazon, and got to thinking, "Hey, I can make something even better!" I know what I'd like to put in it, and I've read the ingredients (which I regret). I can't believe I put all that junk in my hair! From what I can figure, I basically need a very light oil and a gentle emulsifier. I was thinking either jojoba or argan for the oil. What kind of emulsifier would be good for a leave in and won't make my hair waxy? I've tried googling, and haven't had much luck.

I looked through there quite a bit, but never saw the links you posted lol. Through other online research I had pretty well decided on BTMS, this just confirmed it for me Thanks!
