I finally got a a soap to look like it did in my mind.

It’s a abstract version of a "Sailor's Warning" sunset. I used star shower FO.

I am so happy! 😁

Thank you very much. I am really excited because now I know I can do some really pretty soaps. My patience and listening or reading people's posts really paid off.

If any person who is new to soap making reads this post, patience and listening to the advice of people with experience is really important.

Congratulations! It looks like a painted sunset! 😍
Thank you very much. I love modern abstract art and I finally nailed. IMO LOL.
Very pretty!
Thanks
Wonderful!!👏 Love your colors
Thank you.
... and experimenting! Gotta be willing to have some flops before you have the masterpieces.
I had a lot of not so great trys but it I think I found a recipe that is perfect for intricate designs but also a great cleaning soap. However I would rather have a great cleaning soap over a pretty one. Now I have both.

Everything that everyone told me, just kind of fell into place with this soap.

Having patience and research was important but the greatest take away from this soap was having trust in your recipe. That may sound weird but I didn't trust that my recipe would behave the way everyone said it would, even after the 2nd and 3rd time I used but I was afraid to fail and that kept me from trusting my recipe and myself.

I NEEDED TO HEAR THIS.

Seriously. I've been pretty down on myself lately because none of my soaps so far have turned out the way I saw them in my head. But I'm still learning and this forum has been a great help.

And that is a beautiful soap!! 😍 🤩

I have had success in making soap that cleaned really well but it wasn't until I trusted myself and the recipe, then decided it was failure or success and so I stuck to my plan and followed through with it. I realized it was me who was holding things back. It will happen. Just find a recipe that gives you about 15 minutes or more of play time and you will get what you want.
