Strawberry & Champagne Preview, will post cut pics tomorrow.

I wanted it to be red, but It came out more of a rosey color, which is still okay because it's strawberry and champagne! I also put some TD in half to make it more white/creamy. I let trace go a bit thicker then I should have , so I had to keep shaking it down. I made a zebra stripe, and in one half put a hanger swirl through it. That's the side with the "Celine Top," since I see she always piles on her tops. The other half I left as zebra, and put my swirly top on it.

The fragerence behaved well, it didn't make my batch speed up, in fact I would say this took longer to trace then the castile I made the other day. . The only thing I am disappointed is everyone always says how heavenly their kitchen smells after soaping. I can smell the oil on me but it's not in the house and I can barely smell it in the soap, so I'm thinking I should have used more.

I cant wait to see your zebra swirl! I really like the rosey color, its very fitting. I've learned that about half of my soaps turn out like i had envisioned. It's all a learning experience though and its fun no matter what :p

I'm still trying to figure out how you kept the zebra wirl seperate from the coat hanger swirl. Did you have a divider that you pulled out?

I bought a small 5 qt bucket at Lowes to mix my oils in, I took the handle off and used it. It was about half the width of the box and had a flat side. I didn't get real clean or technical about it.

I have yet to try the coat hanger swirl. Im kind of curious about it. this may have inspired me to try it!

It was easy. I just did layers of rose, white, rose white, pound pound pound, thin out the glops with a spoon, pound some more..., then stuck the bucket handle in it on one side of the box. I'm glad you may feel inspired, you inspire me everyday!

awww, thanks. im so glad i found this forum. Soaping just wouldnt be the same without all of us having eachothers backs <3

Oh man. I just checke it and it's gelled! It seems to be turning an odd raspberrish color and it's eating through the white. Cries.

I love the color and cannot wait to see it now that it has gelled. I think colors are more vibrant when a soap gels. Cannot wait for the cut pics! You are doing great Mel!
