Please take a look at this Mocha soap I made yesterday. It has a weird dark ring all the way around it. I used a nice recipe that I made. It traced slow and good. Doesn't look there are any glycerin rivers. This is my 4th batch. I made it with double strength coffee and cocoa powder. No FO. Regret that too cause it smells like poo :( It was said that it would dissipate, lets hope so. Getting a little discouraged. Please tell me what you think. I didn't use the recipe that was online to make this soap as it was 35 on the cleansing scale so I adjusted it to what I liked. I used a wooden mold and a wood lid under two towels. Thanks!

I do a chocolate layered soap and it always has a ring around it for the first little while. The bars should darken to the colour of the ring once cured. The smell will also disappear too! The edges have had more exposure to the air so it will take a bit for everything to even out.

Looks great!

I think it looks wonderful despite the ring, which is barely noticeable. Be very proud considering its only your 4th batch, excellent job!

Beautiful soap!

As for the dark ring- ditto what 100% Natural and Carolyn Z said. It will eventually even out.

I think your mold design made a lot of difference in this soap. This is the first soap I used with my newly build mold! ♥

Thank you all so much for your kind words and praise! You have helped bring my confidence back! :D And it looks like the ring is already starting to disappear, Yay!

eta misspelled word.
