It looks wonderful after I cut it, but, it smells gross right now. Will the smell change over time?

probably... i had a milk soap that stunk to high heaven when i first made it and then after a few weeks it mellowed out into something that most found pleasant smelling ( i still hated it cuz it reminded me of peanut brittle and i HATE that stuff)

i made a peanut butter with cocoa powder soap and it stunk really bad while i was making it but now that its been about a week it smells like peanut butter. its not super strong but at least it doesnt smell bad anymore

Punkflash, I used cocoa powder too. Yah, it smelled so bad I about tossed my lunch!!! But, it seems to be mellowing out now...smells more like PB now.

yeah my whole house smelled so bad lol i'm not a big fan of peanut butter i just figured it sounded really unique to add peanut butter to soap. its a big hit with all my friends

I made an oatmeal honey that got pretty stinky. It smells good after a nice cure.. I wasn't sure it would fade. It was a really strange smell...

I did a carrot and calendula w/ honey.. turned a very attractive orange, but stank! It is a week old now and smelling OK.

I made 1/3 olive oil, 1/3 coconut oil and 1/3 ghee. It smelled "off" when it was fresh, but now it smells like buttered popcorn. Perhaps I should buy some buttered popcorn FO and add it next time!

Made the same soap, it smelled nasty,I let it cure a long time, chunked it up and added to another batch scented better.
