Welcome the newest member of the family, sticky the crested gecko. She was a bit of a spur of the moment purchase but I've had these before and still have cages.

Not 100% sure of gender but I'm leaning towards female. It can be hard to tell with these when young

Day geckos are pretty but I pretty much like all geckos. I actually have a exo terra for sticky, I'll get it put together for her tomorrow. Right now she is i a temporary mesh cage wrapped in plastic.

She'll go in my bedroom with a night light so I can watch her when my insomnia kicks in.

That is my issue with geckos the nocturnal issue, but they are all cute in their own way. I just love lizzies. What size Exo Terra for Sticky? I keep trying to decide what I can put in some of the Nano Talls. https://tinyurl.com/ybgzvqpc any ideas? My chams had to be in screened cages so that is what I have always used. The exo terra is what my daughter used for the Mantis, but she gave up on them. To much work

Love geckos, not likely to get one, although there are ones here, we had one in the house making noises like a kissing noise, dh said tbey are a barking gecko. I like the ones from the tropics, they are green and translucent.

I'm not exactly sure on the exo size, it doesn't exists on their website. It seem to be some where between a medium and large with one big door instead of duel.

About the only thing I could think of for a nano would be small frogs or a tarantula.
I plan on raising pacific tree frogs from eggs next spring that will go in a small exo.

A transparent gecko would be cool. You ever see glass tree frogs? They are one of my favorites.

So cute ! So dragon type look to the face, like a sweet dragon.

My son has to put his bearded dragon male down :( Maybe in time he would like something like this.

Tree froggies would be a good idea. I have had tree frogs in the past and have never seen glass tree frogs. Going to go look them up now.
Tarantula...yeah right  you are trying to get me to never sleep. I shall leave the tarantulas to you

Looks like I need to go on the search for Glass Tree Froggies

Cutie! We have a crestie as well. We bought her a (gecko-safe) potted plant and she's taken to digging out the soil and laying her eggs in it once a month. So we always have to go fishing for eggs and tidying up the mess. The poor plant has been through a lot!

I figured the height was the most critical sine they like to climb, hence the sticky toes :nodding:. I was looking at the Nano yesterday when I ran home to feed and water Freddie and it is just to small in my opinion. Bigger is always better. Told hubby I might get a couple tree frogs for the nano tank, hubby told me I don't need anything else. Nest question, can you keep 2 of the same *** together or do they need to be a pair, or can they be kept in a mixed colony of say 3?
I do not know alot about this type of ghecko I always had Panther Chameleons and by breeding pair of Day Gheckos, Beardies and iguanas. Lots of rescued iggies back when so many thought they were so cutsie when little, then no idea how to feed or take care of them. My eldest daughters iggy was an, approx 14 lb, male with an attitude

He does not know the big tank is coming in as soon as I can find a pair of day geckos, preferable Peacock's but they are hard to find here. Guess I am going to have to visit a reptile show

Tarantulas are crawly spiders with all those creepy legs :nonono:

I am thinking about turning the Large tank into a desert tank for a Beardie, but I really do not have the time to give the Beardie the interaction I feel necessary for the friendly beardies. Chams do not like to be handled much but Beardies like to play

When you setup your frog mansion please post pics. How fun to have a 75 gallon tank to set up, it can be spectacular. Waterfalls, ponds, misters, foggers etc etc. I was recently looking for one of my 30 gallon tall tanks but hubby informed me AI gave them to my youngest. Sadly that means they are long gone. I looked up the Glass Tree Frogs and they are awesome, but I cannot find any here. Going to get online and see if I can find a breeder.

It will be quite awhile before I do the mansion but I will definitely post pics when I do.
It won't be anything fancy as far as water features or misters. Pacific tree frogs don't require that kind of humidity.
They are super easy and active in the day. Just about a perfect frog.

I don't think you'd find glass frogs local unless you have a specialty amphibian pet store. They should be easy to locate online.

My daughter also got new family. Two baby whites tree frogs. They are adorable

They are beautiful. I had tree frogs years ago and they are fun. I tend to like to set up rain forest type tanks but all are fun. You taught your daughter well :nodding: I love it. Froggies are so cute even the bullfrog my daughter used to have
