Can you add some steric acid to a rebatch to harden up a batch of soap that is a little too soft? Has anyone tried that? I have a couple of batches that aren't as hard as I would like and I though maybe that would do the trick! What do you think?

Hey Soapmom,

Just the act of rebatching should help harden it. I don't know what, if anything Stearic Acid would do to a rebatch. Beeswax might help though?

You can also make another batch of soap really heavy on the hard oils, and mix that with your soft stuff to rebatch and harden it.
