I did a cream with ewax & stearic, then one with ewax & cetyl. The stearic is nice, but a little draggy. The cetyl glides gloriously. Next up is cetearyl, which if Im interpreting my INCI's properly is a combination of the two. Ain't experimenting fun!
Thoughts anyone? What can I expect to find? :)

Hey Lisa, I tried this experiment myself to get a real feel for different results and found the Stearic also created a thicker consistency - how about you?

I also found that the Cetyl one seemed to wash off my hands while the Stearic left them feeling soft and protected despite repeated washes ..

I started with the sage's energy body cream formula,& yeah,I do like it for my hands. The cetyl batch does seem looser,I love it as a body cream. Also subbed SL for the glycerine,& it seems to be less tacky/draggy,which is nice :)
Not real impressed with the cetearyl batch-bit oily, even tho light & fluffy texture.Ive been trying to avoid learning the HLB table thingy, but it looks like I'll have to bite the bullet!
Im really starting to love this lotion making business! Originally all I wanted was to be able to make a decent, simple moisturiser but hey,Im a tinkerer at heart-can't help myself. :)
