Springtime Sunshine

So here's the first batch I made with fresh lye. I love making soaps with 50% lard... This is 50% lard, 30% OO, 15% CO, 5% castor. Nice and simple. lol I scented it with 50/50 Orange 15x clear and Litsea cubeba EOs. It smells like fruit loops to me! Makes me want to eat it!

It was poured first into a pringles can mold, then the leftovers into individual bar molds. I'm not really happy with how the colorwork on the loaf came out. I had wanted to see if I could get it to make stars and it kiiinda did, if you squint. lol Oh well. The individuals came out lovely, though!

Thanks all! And it smells so yummy that I used orange and litsea with the soap I made last night oo. XD Though I used a different balance for last night's beer soap.

It is Soap Therapy! I made a lovely golden yellow lemongrass soap today to chase the blues away. Made me absurdly happy to see and smell it.
