I just spent two days selling soap at my artisan-friend Dawn's, here:
Here's Dawn, in her outdoor workshop, selling her rustic cedar tables, chairs, arbours, trellises. I'm inside her house, to the left up the ramp there.
I put the strongest-smelling soaps outside:
and I'm inside with the herbals, unscenteds and eo-scenteds. she generously gave me her whole kitchen.... this is my setup:
Looking out through the kitchen door, you can see more of Dawn's things:
and a longer view down her ramp:
Over this long weekend (celebrating Queen Victoria's birthday in Canada....a very silly old holiday), I sold a LOT of soap in the past two days, one more day to go. (I only sell soap bars). It's a fun way to sell, but not a lot of profit in it. (a spot on this tour costs $350. I keep reminding myself that I work for fun and friendship as well as money.
