Spotty Salt Bar- ok?

Hello everyone,

I have used Amanda Aarons salt bar recipe

BASE OILS
Coconut Oil - 450 grams
LYE SOLUTION
Sodium Hydroxide - 64 grams Distilled Water - 128 grams
ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND
Lavender Essential Oil - 12 grams Spearmint Essential Oil - 5 grams Eucalyptus Essential Oil - 5 grams
ADDITIVES
Fine Sea Salt - 225 grams
Charcoal 1tbps (2nd bar, added kaolin clay)


same recipe for both bars, expect added clay vs charcoal. Any thoughts on white specs in 2nd tan bar?

How did you add your clay? Could it be clay spots?

I have better luck adding my clay to the lye/water solution.
