Spiced Clove Pomander

What a great Fragrance from New Directions Aromatics. I just tested it in a 1lb batch and will update as to its holding power. It soaped fantastic with no acceleration using a 33% lye concentration. Not sure about discoloration so will try to remember to update. I used tallow, shea, palm, rbo and castor with no coconut or pko, just let the tallow add a low cleansing number. This fragrance reminds me of a mix of chutney and mulled wine. Will be ordering another 2lbs next week. I love NDA

Oooh, thanks for the tip! I'm so happy to hear about a clove scent that doesn't accel. Every time I've tried one it sprints off to soap on a stick in about 20 seconds, even soaping below 90. I'm off to check it out now.....

KristaY, I would not rush out and purchase it, if you are going to use it in cp. Not sure the scent is going to hold. It would smell delicious in leave on products. I did just take my test soap out of the mold and definetly smell the clove on my hands. As for the selling out I know and that is the one thing I do not like with NDA, I find something I love and it becomes unavailable. They had a fantastic lime eo from Brazil and it is no longer available on the site, now I am really bummed because I only bought 4 oz to test it. I have had so many Lime Eo's I do not like I did not want to buy a big bottle. Big Mistake :roll:
