So I'm finally getting to the stage where my soap doesn't look like it was made in a sheltered workshop for one armed monkeys  Waiting on some more supplies, it really is a fun and addictive activity.

The chocolate did have lighter swirls but the FO has darkened them a lot.

Overdid the oxide here too, a wee bit too much

VERY nice soaps there Sandy, I havent ventured into fancy tops yet , still trying to get the swirling right lol.....They both look good enough to eat !!!

I'm finding fancy tops easier than swirling because we still haven't got the timing right with colour and thickness of trace. By the time we've got the colour mixed in completely the batter has started to thicken, so we are working on that. I also make sure we are soaping a lot cooler as we always use GM and I want to prevent gel. So false trace is a danger as well with cooler temps.

Nice looking soaps.
I like the overdone oxide. I don't think its overdone at all.
Agreed, nice photos.

I'm going to post pics of my light tent to show how easy it is to get these style of photos. My good camera gear was stolen so I have the cheapest point and shoot you can find, I do use photoshop though, so editing knowledge helps. I've learned so much on this forum I'm hoping to give back a bit of knowledge :D

Those soaps look so incredible!
I hope mine can look that good someday!!
