Been experimenting a bit with swirls. This one I tried newbies ribbon/wood burl pour, I failed. scented with eucalyptus & spearmint

I was going to try the ribbon pour again but it was too thin, turned into a itp swirl. scented with euc/spearmint & tea tree.

This was a attempt to outline the white drop swirl with black mica, worked ok but I wish the black was thicker.

Did you pour upright and then cut upright, Obsidian? The burl pattern comes out if you cut across the pour, like face-up bar, slab bars. And as I found out, certain colors works best to bring it out, and not pink and green like I did, but probably strongly contrasting colors. I like yours. It looks like an aerial view of a chain of islands.

The one on the right was cut across the the pour, the other was cut regular. I like how they turned out, just wish there was more of the ribbony affect. My batter was quite thick though, my FO accelerated some.

I've just about given up on having soap turn out as planned, as long as the colors are somewhat like I wanted I'm happy lol.
