Hi! How much grams or oz of sodium lactate for my recipes? One recipe of mine is body soap: 100 grams / 3.53 oz coconut oil, 29.76 grams / 1.05 oz water, 14.66 grams / 0.52 oz lye, and 3 grams / 0.10 oz EO. Second recipe of mine is dish soap: 100 grams / 3.53 oz coconut oil, 37.20 grams / 1.31 oz water, 18.32 grams / 0.65 oz lye, and 3 grams / 0.10 oz EO. Please, I need to know how much sodium lactate so I can make my recipes soon. :( :(

I agree with @AliOop. I use sodium lactate in all of my soaps at 1 teaspoon PPO. The only exception is salt bars, which has 85% coconut oil in my recipe and I don’t use sodium lactate in those. High coconut makes a very hard bar of soap.

I agree with the others on not using SL in 100% Coconut soap. I use between 3% to 3.5% SL depending on my recipe.

I use 2% SL per oil weight in every batch of my soap except I use none in my salt bars. SL is a salt solution, so you would just be adding more salt (ish) to the salt bar, so yeah, it would not be needed.
