I'm experimenting using a DIY toner type product as a gentle facial cleanser. I tested liquid sodium lactate on removing concealer (closest thing I could find to something dirty/greasy) from my hand. It removed it in one wipe! I'm wondering if it would have the same effect in a solution. If so, what percentage can I use it at? Its an alpha hydroxy so I'm concerned about it being irritating in a high amount. Also, I don't want it to feel tacky either like glycerin. I couldn't find much online. The recommended max found was 4, 5 and 10% from 3 different sources.
