3 Gallons of cream soap.
Bars in Margarita, Fresh Cucumber, Cranberry and Brown Sugar.

Lost Unicorn

I rebatched some of my Once apon a story into The Lost Unicorn yesterday. Today I am unmolding and decorating horns with gold leaf and eyes with mica.
It is a lovely pale pink now with freckles from the well mulched up rose petals.
I have the little meaning story of this soap also.
I will post later with that meaning.

I have just tweaked my Lime in de Coconut CP recipe and made up a batch in my new silicone loaf mould.....hmmm....how do you all who use silicone loaf moulds keep it from bowing out the sides.....you should have seen me panicking!!!! It was hysterical

I ended up with my daughter holding in the sides - saying 'don't get soap on me!' while I textured the top of the soap before it got too set up, and my DH was out in the yard hunting for bricks! Well, we will see how it turns out

Tanya :)

P.S. Mary, pics will be lovely when you get them, I am sure....gold leaf and mica....heavenly!

Well I checked on some pure castille that I made a few weeks ago, it's curing wonderfully, so that has motivated me to make some more of that or maybe some bastille, pink and blue teddy bears with the J&J type baby wash fragrance.
And maybe just another batch or two of something in a pretty colour...just not green (I made a batch yesterday of eucalyptus and peppermint, meaning to colour is a nice soft green. Anyway idiot here squeezed too hard on the dropper bottle, and the top popped right off and the whole bottle ended up in the batter. Anyway I think that batch is going to glow in the dark. It was Brites for CP in the bright green).DUH

Not the $11.00 bottle from Aussie Soap Supplies? Oh Chrissy I feel for you. If it ends up too, too green you can always grate/chop some up and add as pretty bright green flecks/embeds in another of your lovely creamy soaps. I loooovvve bright green, so you could send some my way???

Tanya :)

Yes, that would be it Tanya!!
I swore at myself quite a lot!!
One the plus side, it smells great, but I think it's going to have green lather that's for sure!!

Got the jump on St. Pats. day

So you were making Leprecaun Soap Chrissy. Market that green one for Saint Pats day. March 17th.
Sounds like you are on a roll with your other soaps.
I am thrilled for you.

For this weekend I'm going to tweek some of my first batches of soap I made. I placed 2 orders this week and had several boxes delivered late yesterday. The one from Camden-Gray I got palm oil, GSO, Caster oil, Orange EO, lye and tea tree oil. My second order was from soapsupply.net and I got some new colors and lots of new FO's including my new favorite Oakmoss !!! It's big $$$ so I need to figure out how to make it last. I'm almost thinking HP cause you can use less FO's and the sents last longer.

Or I may change my mind and use some of my new FO's

I'm going to try something I saw posted on here actually. I'm going to be making 3 batches of soap. The first one, after it's poured, I'm going to be cutting out some hearts from the middle of the soaps when it's ready to cut. Then I'm going to make a batch to fill those holes in. Then I'm going to make another batch to put the original cut outs in. :)
Sounds ambitious, so I hope I can accomplish it and also that the scents and colors turn out as I hope. These will be for valentines day. :)

Awe that sounds so romantic. Sorta Heart to heart.
Not a soap crumb will be wasted.

I like the way this sounds. Looking forward to the outcome. :D

I've not made anything but I am planning one for tomorrow.
I'm trying to make a saltire soap (Scottish flag - white cross with a mis blue background). It's gonna be an embed CP, a little tricksy I think

Since I'm **finally** almost over my illness, I'm starting to feel ambitious! (if you saw what I did last week even being sick, this would seem insane)

So, I am (yes, finally) going to do my Prickly Pear soap, along with the Poteet Strawberry for the Local Soaps Project.

Then I am going to do a mango papaya with nectar for the liquid.

Then an Irish Coffee CP for St. Pat's, and on Monday when my FO arrives I'll do a 4-Leaf Clover MP for St. Pat's as well (3 green hearts laid like a Shamrock in a white bar base)..

Tomorrow I'll try another batch of whipped, if I have enough coconut oil left.. if not I'll do a crisco recipe maybe. I think I'll do a romantic scent for V-Day, like Beautiful or Lovely..

All of this is, of course, assuming I get off my bum right now and clean house. DH would kill me if I stepped over the mess to make several batches of soap ROFLMAO

Recap:

Clean HOUSE!!
Prepare Prickly Pear

Make Prickly Pear CP
Make Strawberry Ice CP
Make Irish Coffee CP
Make romantic RTCP

Make 4-Leaf Clover MP
Make another random MP that's pretty :) (I just got a big bag of soap dyes from a friend today)

And that's it.

Lil Outlaws - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ambitous or what? I got tired just reading your list....

jcandleattic - that sounds amazing! I can't wait to see pics...

I made up my mind what I was going to make so I made a Summer Strawberry soap and a Cucumber and Green Tea Soap. My wife and I also made friends with a local butcher and promised him some soap in exchane for beef fat to make tallow. I asked the butcher for about 5 pounds of fat and he gave me 17 pounds  So now I'm in the process of making 3 pound batches of tallow. I've never used tallow and I'm very excited to do so. I'm not a health nut and the store bought soap I've been using all my life has tallow in it so its doesn't bother me a bit. Even cooking the tallow smells good...like a buttery big fat steak :p I must be hungry
