Hi There,
Sorry me again with yet another question!
On soapcalc, can I literally add in whatever oils and butters I like and it will tell me how much water and lye to add? How do I know if the soap will work or not?
So for example I chose NaOH.
Then I chose to work with grams:
200g castor oil
300g cocout oil
100g avocado oil
300g olive oil
Based on these amounts it says to use 342grams of water and 127.81 of lye. (Would I literally weigh out the water using the scale? It seems odd measuring liquids in grams?)
These are the results below. They are all in-between the numbers listed so it that a good thing?
Sorry if these are really stupid questions!
Hardness 29 - 54 =34
Cleansing 12 - 22 =22
Conditioning 44 - 69 =60
Bubbly 14 - 46 =42
Creamy 16 - 48 =32
Iodine 41 - 70 =60
INS 136 - 165 =153
Lauric 16
Myristic 6
Palmitic 10
Stearic 2
Ricinoleic 20
Oleic 33
Linoleic 7
Linolenic 0
The only problem I then see if how do I figure out how much fragrance oil to add? :?
