OK we all know I am new at making soap. Well, ok I haven't tried yet as I gather all of my ingredients and still waiting for some to arrive in the mail.
I have watched numerous videos, read read read, and such.
I was going to purchase wooden molds but the cost just isn't part of my frugal living style I am starting.
So, I watched videos on how to make them. I have a friend that builds shooting houses and always has scrap wood around. So, I was going to go scrounge his wood pile but I was just sitting here and thinking after watching a few more videos on how to also make a soap cutter and the light bulb in my head blinded me as an idea popped up.
I have these handy dandy cute little Christmas wooden wine boxes in the shed. I used to keep my glass ornaments stored in them but now I store them in something else so these have been collecting dust waiting for the right repurpose idea to come along.
That repurpose hit me today.
What I plan to do is clean them up first :wtf: Cut the handle rope off. Fill the holes with a wood filler and line them as needed with my wax paper.
I have a 4th one as you can see that I have 4 of my sodastream bottles sitting in. I am going to convert that somehow (I have an idea how) to my soap cutter.
These things can be found at your local dollar type store around the holidays. I picked these up about 10 years ago at a Dollar General for 2 bucks each.
