Does anyone have the acrylic slab mold from Soap Making Resource?

I keep looking at it and I even go so far as to get it in the shopping cart (several times) then back out at the last minute.

I'd love to hear what others have to say about their acrylic molds before I take the leap on this one :)

Hi Rhonda,

I have the 3# acrylic slab mold from SR. I've had it for a few years and just ordered one for my daughter.
I love it and it makes great bars. However, it's a bit tricky to unmold. If the soap is too soft and you are impatient (as I often am) the bars
won't slide out, and you may take some small chunks out of the sides. If you wait until the soap is a little harder, it slides out beautifully, and you
are left with smooth, shiny ( I use a little silk) sides.
Reassembling is a bear at first, but after you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake.

I had one and sold it. I had the 18 bar one. I didn't care for it. I had so many issues getting my soap off the dividers. Tried everything, mineral oil, cooking spray, etc. I only used it for salt bars but it still gave me fits.

However, I was able to get hold of a Kelsei mold and I love it.
