Hello! My name is Hailey and I'm in the process of building up inventory to launch my new soap company, Tinker Soap Co. I have a lot to learn and love talking with folks about their techniques and getting their advice on what I'm doing. I'm looking forward to using the soap-making forum to meet new people and gather information on successful soap-making. Thanks!

Hi Hailey,

Welcome to the forum. I have to admit your introduction was a bit startling which is why I'm sure people are being reticent. First, you state you're building inventory for a new soap company but in the next sentence you state you have a lot to learn. How long have you been making soap?

You might find this sticky interesting since you want to sell.

*headdesk* works.

The expertise should precede the sales part. In my humble opinion.

According to the website linked....two batches made. Hence the *headdesk*. Sorry it wasn't welcoming....but.....yeah....

I understand it's easy to get excited. But most people that sell have made soap for YEARS, and have made hundreds or thousands of batches before considering selling. It's a safety aspect as well as a quality of product aspect.

Read the link....stick around and learn. There are great people here, with TONS of knowledge to share (the archives are a great place to start). Don't let one snippy ol' biddy (me) drive ya off. But please take the time to go through the process of learning soap and getting set up to sell properly.
