Canada, eh!
So for the end of year teachers' gifts I am going to give them, of course, SOAP and wanted to know what you thought of this quote to include in the basket.

"Soap and education are not as sudden as a massacre, but they are more deadly in the long run."

Too negative?

A little scary. I'm not a big fan of the rest of the quote of Twain's either, though.

But at the same time I can't think of any good quotes that include soap and education.

It has a high potential of being misunderstood, but it becomes kinda humorous when I think of how my salt soap is so hard it could be classified as a deadly weapon.

IrishLass :)

Okay, thank you everyone! I guess I was just happy to find a quote with "soap" and "education" in it!

I appreciate your input! :D

That's a great quote (and bonus points to Genny for identifying it?), but I do think it could be misinterpreted. I, too, am making soap baskets for end of school gifts :)

eta: yikes! I just read the rest of the quote...

You could always make one up by getting ideas from other soap quotes.

Like,
"What soap is for the body, education is for the mind"
