My friend has a son that has allergies to 7 to 11 different things.
Two being Coconut oil & Cocoa Butter. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I have been making a Gentle Baby soap for one family that love it and Salt bars for us and several others. Would just like to help this friend out if I could. Suggestions? Oh yeah, need to be able to use things I can get locally (keep cost down for everyone) Thx!!

You can make a lot of nice soaps without coconut or cocoa butter. Palm kernal oil is a very good alternative to coconut, and olive oil is easy to find everywhere. Another thing to remember is that refined oils have been stripped of the proteins that cause an allergic reaction. I'm not saying it would be perfectly safe to use, I am saying that is something to discuss with the child's doctors.

Throw in some lard and tallow to what daisy said.

Olive, lard and castor would make a nice soap imo - and pretty reasonable
in the price dept too
