So... what happens when you are cpop

You posted this in the liquid soap forum -- are you making liquid soap (KOH) or bar soap (NaOH)?

If bar soap, answer Dibble's questions for the best advice.

Oh, I didn't even notice this was in the liquid soap forum. Would liquid soap ever be CPOP? I don't make it, so I don't know.

I baked mine for six hours. It had a case of ’silicone rash’ that I was able to plane off, but it hasn’t appeared to done anything ‘bad’ to it.

Yeah, CPOP is a cold process technique -- you wouldn't use it for hot process bar soap or liquid soap. That's why I was puzzled too.

CPOPing a batch of bar soap for some hours isn't probably a huge problem.

for an hour in a silicone mold, the top kind of swelled and no longer has a design

I think it will be fine. Worst case you might have some silicone rash on the sides and bottom (looks like tiny, shallow holes). That is only cosmetic and can easily be planed or cut off if it bothers you.
