What a wierd texture. I knew I had cut too soon when after slicing the loaf, they wanted to all stay stuck together. I didnt gell this one so I should have known better. This is the 2nd and final attempt at using "spellbound woods' it just keeps acting funny. :problem:

Something similar happened when I used Samsara scent, it accelerated and when I cut it came out a bit pouffy like that. I didn't cut too early.

What happens if you cut the surface of the soaps? Is it still puffy?

It's my understanding puffiness is caused by water absorption. If the FO is "dry," it may be drawing water out of the soap
batter and causing other ingredients to expand, hence the puff. Anyone know if there's any truth in this theory?

Ya, i'm not sure what causes it. It seemed to want to seperate when I was mixing the colors too. In fact as I was pouring it i knew it didnt loook right, sorta coagulated if that makes sense. Perhaps it wasnt at a true trace but it set up fine so Who knows lol! It's a learning exerience though

I love the colours....no-one else but you...and now all of us :) know that its not meant to be puffy.....just go with it...as you say its all a learning curve......I have had many of them lately :Kitten Love:

Talking about learning curves....I'm about to try that Zebra swirl only red and white and scented with candy cane. I hope it goes well!

It's different but I think that texture makes it pretty cool looking. Like dimple fabric.
oh wow... *shudders* ....as soon as I read the word "dimple" I immediately thought of CELLULITE! aaaaaaah *runs away screaming* lmao

That's really odd-I've never had an issue with Spellbound, and it's in one of my top sellers. I like the colors, though!

Thanks! Its prolly just me. It was a combo of not mixing good enough and cutting too soon. I really like this fragrance...maybe I will give it another chance. I did not know however that it discolors soap
