So here is a little something I put together. I had done this before with the rubber caps that use a pipe clamp to secure the pipe but you have to tighten them supper hard to point where the pipe clamp starts to chew up the rubber caps. This way seems better so far. It's still not super easy to get the soap out but I haven't had to mess up the soap ends pushing and pounding on them from one side either. I have seen cut to fit liners that seem to work and a poster here cut a channel through the pipe that could be used to pry open the mold which seems simple and brilliant as well. This is just what I did.

I bought all of the parts at the local home depot except the stem valves which the local bike shop was more than happy to give me. They were even happier when I gave them some soap in return. They sell pre-cut 24" lengths of the pipe or you can buy a 10' section and have them them down to what you would like. You get a little less than 2lbs of soap per foot. There is your pipe, a hub joint with female thread and a clean out cap.

I bonded the hub to the pipe with Weld on 773 ABS glue.

I used gorilla glue expoxy to bond the stem valve into place after cutting the stem out of the inner tube from the bike shop. Making sure it fit into the clean out cap with enough material to bond the two together.

I let both pieces sit over night and the next day they were ready to use.

For this mold you would seal the end as you normally do and pour in through the threaded top end. making sure you do not fill the pipe section completely. You still need to lube your pip as you would any vertical mold. I have used both mineral oil and Vaseline. Both seem to work equally well but the mineral oil is easier to apply without a mess. You will also want to apply some plumbers tape to the threads on the clean out cap. I was out so I just drapped some plastic wrap over the mold and punched a hole in the canter and it worked well enough. I'll add a couple more pics and let me know if you have any more questions or would like me to clean this up into a better instruction. Right now I'm just kind of sharing.

Here's the last soap I did.

That look a whole lot easier then using a can of soup. For photos, I like to upload them to a free site like tinypic.com, then you can copy & paste the IMG code where ever you want in your post.

OK so you showed the stuff, but how do you actually use it? Are you attaching a bike pump to the valve to get the soap out or something?

Yep, cast your soap in the mold then use air to force it out. I use a small bike pump, you could use a compressor but I'd be carefull not to blow your soap through the house.

I'd love to see this in action but I won't lie, I'd feel like I should avert my eyes or something.

It does feel a bit biological and makes you feel dirty. Not at all the fun type of dirty though. It's like solving a compaction with a pneumatic enema. I'll try to get a video next time I use it.

Please, I'd rather not see you getting rid of compactions, OK? That's another forum.

I use my air compressor with a similar set up. Works great, cheapest place I found valve stems was on eBay.

Just curious if you knew what pressure you working at? I have wanted to check with a tire gauge but haven't yet.

It is the same default pressure we use to fill our car tires & run nail guns. We apply a burst of air then another small burst until the the soap comes out quickly. However, it has never came out too fast or in a dangerous way. Sometimes it is loud, but no need for ear plugs.

Welp, went ahead and made a video avert your eyes if you wish. The soap pretty much fell out of the mold anyway so the whole set up was not the best demo. I apologize for the potty in the background but this is "real" "extreme" soap making. No retakes!

First time using photo bucket. Hope it works.
Also the camera is on top of a roll of paper towels so I hope you took your dramamene.

I watched it and didn't look away once. Now I want one. Not sure if I'm buff enough to pump the soap out though. That is one cool contraption. I think the potty makes it edgy, Tarantino style.

*Anyone else feel daring when they get the off site link message and you go rogue and click on it and you're all like, bring it on, I live for danger. Just me huh?

Well that is just freaking amazing! Now I have to have one! What method do you use to plug the open end? I have been thinking of getting a pipe mold, but knowing me I'll have raw soap leaking out the bottom.

I have to agree with Derpina, the film was raw and edge...Cannes here we come!

I just fold a piece of freezer over a couple times till it's about the right size to cover the end and use strips of packaging tape criss crossed over to hold that in place and seal the end. I used to just do tape and have tried plastic wrap and rubber bands but after a couple of drops of lye ate the paint on the floor and had a few rubber bands break prematurely I started using the freezer paper.

You guys are hilarious! compactions, enemas, averting your eyes, soap rockets LMAO!!!! Can you imagine a non-soaper reading this
