does anyone know what sodium lauryl sulfoacetate is, does it have a more common name and can something else be substituted? I'd like to find it locally but havn't had any luck. Any info would be greatly appreciated. zoe-t

SLS is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

SLSa is Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate , it's also called Lathanol or LAL.

It's a surfactant - so depending on what you are trying to make you can substitute another surfactant.

You can get LAL at WSP

Or look at The Herbarie for a wider variety.
