I have a large pot (well, 250ml volume and with silk powder that's a LOT) of powder to use up, then I will definitely get me some Tussah silk. Until recently and because of this forum I didn't realise that silkworms are killed to produce longer silk fibres for fabric making. As a kid I used to 'grow' silkworms and unravel the cocoons after they had finished with them.....I just thought everyone would do it that way Although my hydrolysed silk peptide powder may well have been made with cruelty free cocoons as it doesn't matter about the length of the fibre or the condition of the cocoon to make it (here's hoping  )
