I have been doing a lot of research and i was wondering if I should use what i used to which was liquid dye for my soap, or if i should use powdered pigments and mica's. If I go the Mica route, going to have to order it online..our michaels is podunk

I think liquid dyes are easier to use in MP but this is just my opinion. However, powder or mica isn't hard to use. I like using glow in the dark powder in clear base for Halloween. If you do decide you want to order online, TKB Trading sells sample packets which are inexpensive and you actually get quite a bit in the sample. Plus, the shipping rates are very reasonable.

My friend recommends powders. I am worried about the liquid bleeding. I have OCD and want everything to be prefect. So I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and order everything from elements. they do samples of mica's as well.

I like micas & oxides mostly for MP.

When using powdered colorant, it works better in MP if you mix it with the tiniest bit of glycerin or alcohol first.
